WINNIPEG, MB: Shine Dental, a Winnipeg dental clinic, has announced that it has hired a new dentist at its Fort Garry clinic.
In the summer of 2025, Dr. Stephen Cheng will begin offering dentistry at 1104 Pembina Highway, Shine’s Fort Garry location. Dr. Cheng grew up in the Fort Garry area, living and attending school a few blocks away from the clinic.
Dr. Cheng spent his academic career completing rotations in rural communities throughout Manitoba, helping underserved populations. He is also involved in a project exploring the use of polychromatic zirconia with hybrid composition in dental restorations. He is passionate about bridging gaps in oral healthcare access, staying ahead of technological advances to improve patient outcomes, and providing quality care to diverse communities.
In addition to his work on cutting-edge dental technology, Dr. Cheng is an avid athlete, who plays golf and badminton, the later of which he used to coach. His coaching also extends to dental students, who he has mentored as they begin their journey into dentistry.
