Dentures Made to Meet Your Needs

Dentures can help you chew more comfortably and restore the appearance of your smile. You may require dentures if you’re missing teeth or have been impacted by an oral health concern such as gum disease.

There are different types of dentures available depending on your particular needs. We can explain all of the options available (including options other than dentures) when you visit us.

For an accurate assessment of your oral health and to discuss whether you can benefit from dentures, book an appointment with us today.

Complete Dentures vs. Partial Dentures

When you visit us, we’ll assess your teeth and overall oral health to determine what type of dentures are right for you. Once we decide what will best meet your needs, we’ll begin custom-creating your dentures.

Types of dentures include:

  • Overdentures are removable dentures that fit over your natural teeth or dental implants
  • Partial dentures replace a few missing teeth and are held in by clasps that fit onto surrounding teeth
  • Complete dentures replace all your natural teeth and are held in by suction

Caring for Your Dentures

Just like cleaning your natural teeth daily, dentures need the same treatment. Plaque and tartar can still build up on your dentures, which can lead to stains and bad breath, or spread to your natural teeth, causing gum issues and cavities.

When you’re ready to clean your dentures, remove them and rinse off any debris or food particles. Then, using a soft toothbrush and denture cleaner, gently scrub all surfaces and clasps where bacteria can collect.

Remove your dentures at night and soak them in warm water or denture solution.

Your Natural Smile Replacement

Dentures are designed to look like natural teeth and can improve the appearance and function of your teeth and gums. Once you receive your dentures, we’re here for any follow-up appointments to check that they fit properly and function as they should.

Giving Back: Shine The Light Initiative

Giving back to our community is a tenet of the Shine Dental ethos. Dr. Brent Wong, owner of Shine Dental, and his wife, Wendy, began Shine The Light in 2005 as a way to bridge the gap between people who want to help and those who need it most.

Since its inception, Shine The Light has helped build over 100 homes and brings free dental and medical care to those in need in the Dominican Republic. As the organization has developed, they’ve added skilled trade training and far•o Supply Co, which focuses on strengthening economic independence for trainees and artisans in DR.
